I just wanted to let everyone know that I’m going to the Creative Writer’s Workshop at my former college campus, as I have been invited by one of my professors to spend the day there. It’s the last summer he’ll be teaching it, which makes me pretty sad. I’ve gone to this workshop twice in past years, once when I was in college and then two years after college. This is the same workshop I met Marya Hornbacher at, although she won’t be speaking this year, but I do have an interview with her this summer.

So don’t worry! I’m not slacking on my blogging! I’m just going to be away from my computer for awhile, and I wanted to make sure no one panicked and thought I was murdered by a sinister insect that crept into my room (right, Paul?).

Provided I’m allowed to take pictures and interview a couple people, I might be able to make quite the blog post out of this trip. We’ll be hearing from speakers Thomas Maltman (novelist), Wayne Nelsen (video artist), and Shannon Olson (novelist). I’m really excited to go, and it’s about time to, so… toodles for now! I’ll let you know how it goes!

    1. Thanks! Sorry it took me so long to approve your comment… I was gone from 10 am to 8 pm yesterday, and I was so beat that I just went straight to bed and didn’t check for comments. They workshop was really awesome! I’ll probably make a blog post about it later. I’ve got pictures and everything. 🙂

  1. That’s great! Looking forward to hearing more about it and seeing pictures!

  2. Enjoy your workshops! And good luck with your interview

  3. Hi Amber….Great idea for a blog! Will look for your workshop comments & the Marya H. interview….

    1. Ah, pressure! lol I’m actually just about to start on the workshop blog post. I was so tired yesterday after all the fun I had Thursday, I couldn’t bring myself to do it. But I’m armed with coffee now, and nothing will stop me! *heroic pose*
